After the awards ceremony, there will be a pizza party to exchange end-of-year greetings.
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION: €15, reduced to €10 for under-16s and €8 for those enrolled in the 2025 courses of the ASD Circolo Scacchistico di Montella.
TOURNAMENT RULES
- REGULATIONS: The FSI-FIDE regulations in force at the time of the event will apply, but there will be no Elo variation.
- PARTICIPATION: Italian and foreign citizens are eligible to participate in the tournament without restriction.
- GAME SYSTEM AND TIE-BREAKERS: 7 rounds of play, pairings using the FIDE Swiss system and technical tie-breakers: 1. Buchholz; 2. Buchholz cut 1; 3. APRO;
- THINKING TIME: the time control is 12 minutes + 3 seconds per move for each player. A tolerance of 12 minutes is allowed for players who are late at the start of the round;
- ELECTRONIC DEVICES: Article 11.3 of the FIDE regulations applies;
- TITLE CHAMPION City of Ariano Irpino: The best male and female players residing in the municipality will be awarded the titles of City Chess Champion.
- The award ceremony will be an integral part of the tournament, so anyone who is not present at the ceremony without a valid reason will lose their right to the prize, which will be awarded to the next player in the ranking.
- Participation in the Tournament implies the consent of each player to the publication of certain personal data (surname, first name, category, Elo rating) as well as the results achieved and photos taken during the event on the WEB. For minors, this consent is implicitly given by their parents or guardians;
- Players with disabilities who have special playing requirements are requested to notify the organisers in advance of their attendance at the event.
- Registration implies full acceptance of the tournament rules.
- The organisers accept no responsibility for the loss of unattended items or for damage to property or persons occurring before, during or after the event.
