On Monday, 29 December 2025, the 1st Amateur Tournament “City of Ariano Irpino” took place in Ariano Irpino (at the municipal hall “Siani”, Piazza Garibaldi), an event that brought together chess, social interaction and conviviality in a strong sense of community.
The tournament was played over 7 rounds with a rapid time control of 12’+3”, Swiss system pairings and technical tie-breaks. The event saw the participation of many enthusiasts of all ages, with prizes awarded to the top finishers and to the City Champion of Ariano Irpino.
The tournament featured the participation of young members of our ASD and some parents from Ariano Irpino:

At the end of the competition, a pizza dinner followed, concluding the day in a festive atmosphere with the exchange of greetings and friendship among all participants.
